Ooh first!
I’ll be back later for something more in depth, but re: #5, I’ve noticed that the black blingtards are almost always Europeans, and tend to be German or French. I have no idea what this means.
At # 6 and 5, I’ve spent my entire SL life running from the “African American” BET MTV stereotype of real African Americans. I am thoroughly disgusted and enraged every time I go out and see these women and men portray themselves in this manner.

I never thought I’d leave a comment for one of the secrets, but that poop rainbows line was GOLD. I love it!
I really liked the pooping rainbows comment, although it was a bit hard to read (but hey, sometimes fashion blogs *are* hard to read because of all they’re magical sparkle and unicorns spewing greatness about _insert grossly overrated mega store here_). I’d enjoy more postcards like that.
It’s interesting to see the comments about dark-skinned/African-ethnic avatars after there was a showing of “The Souls of Black Girls” recently in my area. I highly recommend it if people are interested in knowing more about how the media is affecting African-American women’s self-image.
I’ve found quite a few bling-abusers to be Brazillian, myself. Many fashion disasters and just generally clueless (or mannerless) users seem to be Brazillian or French. Of course, I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting well-dressed, polite Brazillians, French, and other non-English natives. And we know how “bad ass” those white hommies try to be.
‘Cause if they didn’t poop rainbows then they risk being called drama queens, not getting stuff dropped on them and bruising the fragile egos of designers who work oh so hard to churn out designs for us. Let’s face it most designers in sl are babies and everyone excepts to be handled them with kid gloves and the minute you disagree with how great something is and you point out that their fart stinks as bad as everyone’s, you have all their minions ready to jump down your throat saying you’re just jealous and don’t be mean. This ain’t kindergarten.
Ah, from now on my new goal is to be the most miserable & monochrome SL blogger.
#7 interests me, purely cos I’m pretty sure I know who it pertains to (and why)….which is quite unusual for me!

I wonder why SCD is still posting the SLsecrets when they don’t let people comment there and just send them to an unmoderated blog. WTF is that…blog just for comments? If they don’t have the guts to take what the comments cause they shouldn’t be posting the secrets there…that seems kinda weird…or is it just me?
think my name says it all..the US is so racist we elected a black president..and I hope by saying the US is racist we aren’t talking about Caucasians because most of the racism comes from the African American community now. I really don’t care what color you are, I think most people are assholes. I wish I were a pelican.
It’s true, there is still a lot of work to be done in the US. We should not belittle the challenges that lie before us, but we should also refrain from overlooking what we have surmounted. The message to America last night from both candidates was to be (or strive to be) united.
As for the SCD, the older weeks are open. When this blog was started during week 12, there was no mention of it on SCD; it was only added during this current week. And again, the idea is that people will not be so full of venom for the sake of being venomous if their is a delay. From the looks of it, having a separate blog for comments even for the current week has brought the hatred level down.

I actually liked the idea of SLsecrets at the beginning..even thought about posting one (and it was a secret really not a personal attack or just a post to trigger arguements), but disabling comments for a week really discouraged me since if I ever posted one it would be to see what people think about it right away…their first reaction and feelings about it…not in a week when barely anyone remembers it anyways…having people to go offsite discourages many too. I am kinda missing the point of having a blog separate for comments…maybe if the whole SLsecret thing was made into a new blog… but this?

I didn’t really come to discuss racism but if you think that electing a black man as President instantly erases all vestiges of racism in the country you are an idiot.
Furthermore, who the fuck do you think you are accusing black people of being racists? Last I checked despite the recent election black people haven’t been in the position to hold you down by having the country’s institutions discriminate against you.

Re #5 & 6. That shit gets on my last good nerve. I inclined to agree that these thugged out “black” avatars have a white person behind them.

But then again, I admit to having a faulty memory. Now that it’s changed, we can’t really prove if it was there originally or not, and I doubt everyone would just take Tenshi or other SCD’s word for it at this point.
I am not sure if I understand you now… I am pretty sure that the link was there in the SLsecrets week 12. Just look at the date of the week 12 comments. Way before SLsecret week 13 was up. How would people find this blog without the link? It is how I found this blog too, and I have a comment there dated before SLsecrets wekk 13 was out.
It doesn’t really matter, I guess…doesn’t really change anything that is why I am not sure if I undestand what you were trying to say and why you said it…oh well…

The comment above was a blanket statement, in that you can’t post at all. I thought it important to clarify that you *can* post to them- you just have to wait a week. Granted, whether or not this is a positive or negative depends on people’s attitudes.
Now, based on my memory, the original week 12 was edited at some point to redirect to this blog; you might have initially seen it with the edit, and so it seemed like SCD just went and created another blog. But I could be wrong and did not see it the first time. Other people could have discovered it by searching through google for SL Secrets or being passed the link from a friend.
Ultimately, SCD did not create SLsecret Buzz, and therefore SLsecret Buzz was not created so that SCD could save face or anything like that. If there is any point to be made, that would be it.
